BATTERY STORAGE
Are you interested in improving your personal resilience so that you can avoid Public Safety Power Shutoffs? Would you like to save money and buy electricity at the lowest rates?

A battery backup could be the answer. SimpliPhi, a local company in Ojai that makes 20-year, cobalt-free batteries, is offering Santa Barbara Clean Energy customers $760 - $6,840 off 15.2 kWh to 136.8 kWh batteries.
SOLAR & BATTERY DISCOUNTS
Are you interested in saving on new solar and battery storage?

Brighten Solar Co. is giving discounts for harnessing energy and storing it. Save $100/kilowatt for solar systems and $70/kilowatt-hour for battery systems. This provides an average savings of $500 for solar and $700 for battery systems. If you are a CARE customer you save even more.
SOLAR & BATTERY SYSTEM
The Santa Barbara Home Power Program covers the cost of a customized solar power and battery storage system. You pay for the power produced by the system over the term of the agreement. No credit check, financing, or lien on property. All county residents are eligible.

Electric induction cooking is one way cooks can take advantage of clean electricity and reduce the use of gas. Some Santa Barbarans have expressed a reluctance to take this step, because they do not believe the quality is comparable. Advances in induction cooking will surprise you.
